As you might of read in previous posts, i've asked friends of mine to each draw whatever they like on plates for me, using pottery paint pens, which in my new house in the new year i will be hanging on the wall. Yesterday i got a little surprise when my good friend Richard came round with this little gem (B) Owl, get it?
Seeing Richards, i think inspired Lucy (Paper Fox, my partner in crime at Fox Bunting) to get her's done. So whilst we had a few guests round last night for a warm up for NYE tonight, Lucy came up with this, which i think is amazing. Seriously!
Happy New Year!
Christmas is probaly over now apart from NYE but it was lovely this year. I would of liked to stay back home with my family but you can't have it all can you? I turned 21 on christmas eve so i got double the presents and some lovely ones at that. As well as a ridiculous amount of money from my very generous family i got a few Cath Kidston pieces, not too many mind otherwise i'd get a headache. I got one of her bags, a three tier cakestand off my housemates, some bowls and cutlery for my new house, which im very excited for even though we haven't started looking for places yet. I got lots of sewing bits off my mother including a new sewing machine which she gave me a while ago. My lovely boyfriend also got me for my birthday, probaly the best craft book i've ever read.
It's an amzing book on giving you tips on how to start and run a small indie craft business with loads of resources and templates giving you an insight into business basics. I would recommend this book to anyone. I read it in a couple of days and has answered so many questions for me. I think the best place to buy it is somewhere like the Amazon website. Also here's a link to the authors website.
I wanted to show everyone this amazing Robin brooch i purchased off my good friend Amy Panda. He has not left my side since i got him.
At the craft fair in Bradford last sunday, as well as buying lots of lovely bits of material for bunting and buttons and ribbon, I was given this, the most exquisite gingerbread man i have ever seen. And don't you think it looks like Susan Boyle?
My lovely housemate Alex suprised me with this really cute gift the other day...
How sweet is that? It's now proudly hung up on my wall, thanks Alex!
Yesterday was my friend Patrick's 21st birthday, so i decided i'd make him a badge seen as though thats what i do. I know Patrick loves dinosaur's so here's his little present.
Again the photo is rubbish (i need to ask for a new camera for christmas), he has a little bit of fluff on him and looks a little like a lizard but i still think he's very cute and Patrick loved him, so all is well.
Will is the first of my friends to complete my plate task. If you dont know, i have bought several plates and pottery paint pens have asked all my illustrator friends to draw on plate each, so they can be hung on my bedroom wall as a little centerpiece.
My camera is rubbish but as you can see it's a cute little sea monster. I love him! Find Will's blog here.
